WhatsApp has recently rolled out an important feature called the WhatsApp Chat Lock. This new feature which is available to both iOS and Android users, is coming after it has previously introduced the feature that allows users to save disappearing messages on its platform. The new Chat Lock feature allows a user to protect his or her most intimate conversations, using a PIN or fingerprint lock feature.
Announcing to feature to users, WhatsApp in a released statement, said;

We think this feature will be great for people who have reason to share their phones from time to time with a family member or those moments where someone else is holding your phone at the exact moment an extra special chat arrives.
With this feature, you can safely lock important and most essential messages from preying eyes, there by keeping them safe and secure.
How To Use WhatsApp Chat Lock For Your Messages?
For you to use this Lock Chat feature, simply follow the steps below:
- First launch the app
- Then click on the chat
- next is to go to the chat dashboard
- Here you need to tap on the chat lock under “Disappearing messages”
- Finally toggle on Lock chat on that chat with either “Pattern, Pin / Password”
With this, you have successfully lock your business or private messages from unwanted eyes.
