Twitter is one of the most popular social media platforms with over 500 million active users. The micro-blogging platform is constantly evolving with the addition of new features to make it more appealing to users. Back in November 2017, twitter increased the number of characters in a tweet to 280. Now the company has added a new feature that will allow users to add voice messages to their tweets.

The new feature is currently available to only iOS users, but will be available to other device in the coming days. Announcing the new feature via twitter, the company wrote;

You can Tweet a Tweet. But now you can Tweet your voice!

Rolling out today on iOS, you can now record and Tweet with audio.

Sending voice audio tweets on Twitter is currently being rolled out to a limited number of iOS users. With the new feature, users will be able to record audio clips of up to 140 seconds and attach to their tweets.

How You Can Create And Send Voice Audio Tweets On Twitter

  • Start by composing a new tweet
  • Then tap the audio button (the wavelength icon) that is located beside the option to add a photo.
  • Next is to tap the record button
  • And finally tap done and then send.

Please note that when you reach the time limit for an audio clip, it will automatically start a second audio tweet and create a thread with all of these voice recordings.
